22 Injured in Passenger Bus Accident on HULAKI Road

Kathmandu. 22 people were injured in a passenger bus accident on the HULAKI road in Maharajgunj Municipality 2, Gaidaha, Kapilvastu. The passenger bus with registration number Sudurpaschim Province 01-001 Kha 3721, which was going from Dhangadhi to Kathmandu, met with an accident. The bus operated by Shivapuri Luxury Coach Pvt. Ltd. lost control and hit the divider, overturning on the road. Among the injured are the bus driver Harisingh Mahara, 42, from Geta, Ward 13, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City, Kailali; Chakrabahadur Rokaya, 25, from Khalakanda, Ward 6, Shivas, Baitadi; Bharat Mall, 30, from Datedya, Ward 5, Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality, Doti; Bimal Bhatta, 28, from Godavari Municipality 1, Kailali; Sitadevi Badi, 55, from Godavari Municipality 2; Narendra Tamrakar, 29, his wife Alia Tamrakar, 25, and their 2-year-old son Sudarshan Tamrakar, from Dadeldhura; Binod Satkuli, 23, from Thalar Rural Municipality 5, Bajhang; Lochan Bisht, 15, and his father Krishnabahadur Bisht, 45, from Malladohi, Ward 8, PurChowki Municipality, Baitadi. Also injured are Ganapati Bhagari, 77, from Phulbari, Ward 18, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City, Kailali; Akhil Kumar Thadiya, 24, from Jawalpur, Ward 6, Ghodaghodi Municipality; Bhadrakrishna Mishra, 65, from Bharatpur Metropolitan City 26, Chitwan; Gopal Poudel, 24, from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City 18, Kailali; Keshbahadur Deuba, 40, from Dadeldhura Rural Municipality 1; Prabhananda Thagunna, 33, from Siwati, Ward 4, Naugaad Rural Municipality, Dadeldhura; Deepika Bhandari, 22, from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City 18, Kailali; Prakash Rokaya, 36, from Ghodaghodi Municipality 9; Kishwar Bohora, 23, from Thalar Rural Municipality 5, Bajhang; and Parvati Bohora, 40, from Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality 3, Dadeldhura. Most of the injured have sustained injuries to their heads, hands, legs, chests, waists, and various parts of their bodies. All have been referred to the Medical College, Bhairahawa, for further treatment after initial treatment at the District Hospital, Taulihawa. A total of 46 people, including the driver, were on the bus, and 24 were sent to their destinations by other vehicles. After the accident, the road was opened in both directions after the bus was removed with the help of a crane.
