Rupandehi Federation of Nepali Journalists Honors Three Journalists

Butwal. Rupandehi chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists has honored 3 journalists. Three journalists from Rupandehi have been honored with the Outstanding Journalism Award-2082 and Suryaprasad Vikas Journalism Award-2082 established by the Federation.

The awards, established in collaboration with Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, were presented at a special ceremony organized in Butwal on Monday.

Journalist Amrit Giri has been honored with the Outstanding Journalism Award-2082. Giri received a cash prize of one lakh rupees along with a certificate of honor. He is currently working at Meci Kali Daily.

Similarly, journalists Chhabi Pandey and Maya KC have been honored with the Suryaprasad Vikas Journalism Award-2082. They received a cash prize of fifty thousand rupees each along with a certificate of honor. Pandey works for Gorkhapatra Daily and KC works for Butwal Today Daily.

Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Khelraj Pandey and Deputy Mayor Savitradevi Aryal honored the awarded journalists at the award distribution ceremony.

According to Dinesh Pandey, Chairman of the Federation's Rupandehi chapter, the awards were presented to recognize the contribution made to society through journalism.

Central Vice-President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Nitu Pandit, Central Member Ramraj Pokharel, Rupandehi Chief District Officer Vishwaprakash Aryal and others congratulated the awarded journalists and emphasized the need for impartial, responsible, and professional journalism.

The program was conducted by CP Khanal, Secretary of the Federation's Rupandehi chapter. There was a significant presence of media persons, representatives of various organizations, and stakeholders at the ceremony.
