Rastriya Swatantra Party Concludes First National Convention in Chitwan

Chitwan. Leaders from the district have expressed happiness, stating that the first National Convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) was successfully concluded in Bharatpur, Chitwan. Local leaders of the RSP, who managed the local arrangements, said that Chitwan received widespread publicity at the national and international level since the decision was made to hold the convention in Bharatpur.

Thanking the party leadership for prioritizing Chitwan, the fertile land of the party, and providing the opportunity to hold the convention here, they claimed that no stone was left unturned by the organizing district to make the first convention successful with the support of everyone despite the heat.

Rajan Gautam, who coordinated the accommodation and catering arrangements for the convention, said that Chitwan has received a historic opportunity from the RSP. He said, “With the leaders, cadres, and well-wishers of the RSP from across the country staying here for about a week, the overall economy of the district has become dynamic and the residents of the district have benefited.” He said that the land of Chitwan got the opportunity to hold the first convention of the RSP and elect its policy and leadership.

Leader Gautam, stating that there were no shortcomings in catering and accommodation even though the convention was prolonged due to technical reasons, said, “I don't think there were any problems other than those caused by the heat. On this occasion, I want to thank all the leaders, cadres, and well-wishers who worked day and night for the entire duration of the convention. The RSP convention has been successful in enhancing the prestige of Chitwan as a whole.”

Mentioning that he missed out on a potential position due to being involved in management, he said, “If the convention had been held outside Chitwan, I might have contested for a central position. Due to being busy with management, I couldn't even register my nomination for central membership.” Even though my friends insisted, I am happy that the convention was successful, rather than saying I didn't get a position due to concerns about weak management.”

Similarly, District President Minimadhav Khanal believes that the convention was successful because the central and district teams worked day and night. He clarified that the convention was successful because they worked day and night, without hunger or thirst, throughout the convention, and said, “Chitwan has sent new leadership and policies, and we are proud of this.”

Stating that leaders and cadres of the RSP from across the country were able to observe the politics, eco-tourism, and overall situation of Chitwan, District President Khanal said that the responsibility given to Chitwan has been successfully completed, and all those who helped directly and indirectly are worthy of thanks.

District Secretary Tejendra Poudel said that the election of representatives from all three parliamentary constituencies of Chitwan to the central positions is a matter of pride for us in Chitwan. He said, “We have easy access to central officials as well as ministers of the government. After the historic convention held in Chitwan, the RSP has become even more robust, mature, and politically dynamic.”
