Ministry Launches New Dashboard for Public Information

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has launched a new 'dashboard' with the objective of providing easy access to information for the general public. With the active involvement of the Minister of Industry and Supply, Gauri Kumari Yadav, this dashboard, launched at the ministry, will now update details related to company, industry, and firm registrations on a 'real-time' basis daily.

Previously, it was very difficult for the general public to easily obtain accurate statistics and information on how many industries and companies have been registered and are in operation in Nepal so far. However, the ministry has stated that with the launch of this dashboard, anyone can now easily obtain that information. The main objective is to inform the general public about the daily activities and service delivery of the ministry.

The dashboard, located at the ministry's office, currently connects the information technology systems of the Department of Industry, the Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection, and the Office of the Company Registrar. For this, a system has been arranged to provide real-time data by integrating the systems of the respective departments through 'API'.

Similarly, the ministry has made arrangements to obtain details of other bodies that do not have their own information technology systems through a 'dynamic form'.

The ministry plans to include details of company and industry registrations at the provincial level in this dashboard from the upcoming fiscal year.

With the start of this system, it is believed that the ministry's work will become more transparent, organized, and technology-friendly.
