Rasuwagadhi Border Suspends Cargo Vehicle Movement for Two Days

Rasuwagadhi. The movement of public cargo vehicles has been stopped for two days from the Miteri Bridge at Rasuwagadhi, the northern border of Nepal.

A bailey bridge was installed immediately after the flood of Lhendekhola on June 24 last year washed away the concrete bridge. The movement of vehicles has been stopped today and tomorrow to test whether the bailey bridge can be operated during the upcoming monsoon, informed Rasuwa Chief District Officer Rajesh Panthi.

Local residents and pilgrims to Mansarovar Kailash will not face any inconvenience, clarified CDO Panthi. Chinese security personnel have informed that they have stopped cargo vehicles coming from Nepal to Kerung and from Kerung to Nepal.

The bridge will be operated as before after the technical inspection of the bridge is completed, informed Police Inspector Bikram Kunwar of the Area Police Office, Timure.
