Kathmandu Installs Traditional Streetlights on Shukrapath

Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City has installed attractive streetlights in the traditional style on the Shukrapath road from Indrachok to Vishal Bazar with the objective of enhancing the beauty of the historical heritage area and preserving its original identity.

The Metropolitan City has stated that these streetlights have been installed with the aim of further highlighting the cultural and historical form of the New Road area and ensuring safe, easy, and organized movement for pedestrians and the general public at night.

The traditional style streetlights, which light up after dusk, have made the commercial and tourist area from Indrachok to Vishal Bazar attractive and enchanting. Locals say that the lighting has further enhanced the beauty of the heritage area.

Following the installation of the streetlights, local businesspeople, the general public, and domestic and foreign tourists have responded positively to the changed appearance of the New Road area.
