Law Minister Sobita Gautam States Preliminary Discussions Held on Governance Structure Proposal

Chitwan. Law Minister and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Sobita Gautam has stated that preliminary discussions have also been held with parties on the proposal put forward by the RSP regarding the form of governance.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday at the RSP general convention venue in Chitwan, Gautam said that as the RSP's proposal on the form of governance is also linked to constitutional amendment, there is a need for extensive discussion, and preliminary discussions have also been held with parties.

The RSP had put forward a proposal with the abolition of the Provincial Assembly and a new form of governance including a directly elected Prime Minister. Gautam mentioned that it depends on how far the discussion on their proposal goes and where consensus is reached.

Similarly, Gautam said that due to the extension of the party's general convention, which was scheduled for three days, there is a preparation to complete it on Thursday itself after the election of office bearers.

She stated that because this is the first general convention of the RSP, they are trying to move forward by taking everything only as a learning experience. She said that she will also be a candidate in the second phase of the election and will provide information about the post only after submitting her candidacy.
