Vice President Yadav Attends Russian National Day Reception

Kathmandu. Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav participated in a reception hosted here on Wednesday evening on the occasion of Russia's National Day.

On that occasion, Russian Ambassador to Nepal Aleksei Vladimirovich Surorovtsev stated that Russia has always highly valued Nepal's sovereign foreign policy based on the principles of non-alignment and Panchsheel.

Discussing the cordial Nepal-Russia relations, he mentioned that 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries will be completed on the upcoming 4th of Shrawan.

“This year is special for us in the context of bilateral relations between Nepal and Russia. On the upcoming July 20, we are not only celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, but also completing 70 years of long-standing friendship based on goodwill, mutual respect, and people-to-people relations,” he said.

Ambassador Surorovtsev stated that there is a long and friendly relationship between Nepal and Russia based on mutual trust and understanding. He also expressed confidence that the friendship and cooperation between Nepal and Russia will be further strengthened in the coming days.
