2,519 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs. 1.9 Million Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 519 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs. 19 lakh 31 thousand 502 has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 92 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 163 for illegal 'ride sharing', 99 for signal light violations, and 115 for speeding.

Similarly, 109 were penalized for not following 'lane' discipline, 100 for honking in prohibited areas, three for operating vehicles under the influence of narcotics, 19 vehicles for emitting more smoke than the prescribed standards, and one thousand 819 people for not following other traffic rules.
