Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane States Party Ideology is Social Democracy

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has stated that the ideology of Rastriya Swatantra Party is social democracy. In the political report presented by Chairman Lamichhane at the ongoing first national convention in Chitwan, it has been clarified that the party's ideology is social democracy.

“Some critics say, without ever looking at our documents, that the Rastriya Swatantra Party has no ideology,” Chairman Lamichhane said in his report, “Yes, we are not traditional leftists or rightists.”

He also stated that it has not deliberately limited itself to that political polarization.

“We prioritize a practical, judicious, and reality-based approach, rather than any rigid ideological framework,” Lamichhane said, “We respect the historical contributions and positive practices that old ideological frameworks have given to human society, but we weigh them on the scales of practical utility and social justice.”
