Rastriya Swatantra Party Convention Delayed Due to Delegate List and Card Printing Issues

Kathmandu. The closed session of the first national convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), currently underway in Chitwan, has been affected due to delays in verifying the delegate list and printing identity cards.

The delegate management sub-committee and the election commission have apologized to the delegates for not being able to complete the verification of delegate names and card distribution within the scheduled time.

According to the predetermined schedule, the verification of the delegate list was to be completed by Asar 7, and the printing of identity cards was to begin on the morning of Asar 8. However, the delegate registration process has been affected as it has taken longer than expected to complete the work.

RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlaoti has taken an interest in the delay in delegate verification and card printing. He stayed at the Election Commission's office until late last night and gave necessary instructions. Efforts are being made to expedite the registration process and ensure smooth participation of delegates.

However, there is still no clear information about what time delegate registration will start this morning.'

Due to the delay, the closed session of the general convention has been postponed by one day. The closed session will begin after the delegate verification and card printing process is completed and delegate registration begins.
When contacted about this, General Secretary Burlaoti informed that he had given instructions and made necessary coordination for delegate registration through temporary registration entry coupons as it would take time for the digital cards of the delegates to be printed.

He also informed that the exact time for delegate registration has not been received from the Election Commission and the delegate management sub-committee.
