Bagmati Province Government to Manage Problematic Cooperatives and Protect Depositors

Makwanpur. The Bagmati Province Government is going to manage problematic cooperatives and protect the interests of depositors.

The government has put forward a program to manage problematic cooperatives and protect the interests of depositors in its budget for the fiscal year 2083/084.

Budget has been arranged for the monitoring, supervision, and financial discipline of cooperative institutions, said Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning Prabhat Tamang.

It is mentioned in the budget that a digital crime tracking system will be developed by installing CCTV cameras in public places.

The budget states that security awareness campaigns will be conducted to reduce drug abuse, human trafficking, and cybercrime. Minister Tamang said that embankment construction in flood, landslide, and inundation affected areas, deployment of disaster volunteers, and disaster insurance programs will be conducted.

The government has stated that traffic lights will be installed in places with heavy vehicle traffic and smart checkpoints will be established at the main entry points of the province.
