Rastriya Swatantra Party Convention's Closed Session Postponed Due to Technical Issues

Chitwan. The closed session of the first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is to be held today. For this, the distribution of delegate identity cards will start from 7:00 AM today. The closed session, which was scheduled to start at 8:30 AM on Monday, has been postponed by one day due to technical reasons.

According to the party's spokesperson Manish Jha, the closed session will begin after the identity card distribution in the morning. He said that the closed session of the general convention was postponed because the process of verifying the list of general convention delegates received from the provinces and printing the general convention delegate cards could not be completed.

He informed that the party is committed to ensuring that there is no dispute in this process as the general convention is the supreme body of the party, and work has been done in a way that there will be no problem even if there is some delay. He informed that the card distribution had started from 7:00 PM on Monday. The cards printed overnight will be distributed from the provinces starting this morning. The party has stated that cards from the seven provinces and adjustment and expatriate will be distributed easily from different places.

After the card distribution, the closed session will be conducted according to the previous schedule. According to the general secretary of RSP, Rabindra BurlaKoti, at the beginning of the closed session, Ramakant Rimal from the Disciplinary Commission will present the report of the Disciplinary Commission. There will be a discussion on it. After that, the financial report of Treasurer Lima Adhikari will be presented and discussed.

After the treasurer's report, General Secretary Rabindra BurlaKoti will present the organizational report and discuss it. After that, the Deputy General Secretary will discuss the bylaws and get them approved. After the approval of the bylaws, party president Ravi Lamichhane will present and discuss the political report and get it approved. A potential schedule includes the announcement of the interim management committee formation by party president Lamichhane and the organizing committee handing over all responsibilities to the Election Commission. After that, the Election Commission will publish information and the schedule related to the election process.

The closed session programs of the general convention, which was inaugurated on Sunday afternoon at Guesthouse Chaur, are being held at the Industry Association's exhibition center.
