Algeria Defeats Jordan 2-1 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier

Kathmandu. In the FIFA World Cup 2026 Group 'J' match, Algeria made a spectacular comeback and defeated Jordan 2-1. In the match held at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium, Algeria, which was trailing in the first half, scored two goals in the second half to secure three important points.

Jordan took the lead in the 36th minute through Nizar Al-Rashdan's goal. He scored from a pass by Mousa Al-Tamari, giving Jordan a 1-0 lead. The first half ended with this score.

Algeria made an excellent comeback in the second half. In the 69th minute, Nabil Bentaleb scored to bring the game to a 1-1 draw. Riyad Mahrez provided the decisive pass for this goal.

Then, in the 82nd minute, Amin Gouiri scored the winning goal, giving Algeria a 2-1 lead. Jordan tried to equalize in the final moments but could not succeed.
