Eight Injured in Nawalpur EV Hyace Accident

Nawalpur. Eight people were injured when an EV Hyace met with an accident on the East-West Mahendra Highway in Pithauji, Gairidaha-10, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) this evening. Two of the injured are in serious condition.

The electric vehicle (EV) Hyace, with registration number Bagmati Province 02-03 Cha 1205, which was traveling from Pokhara to Krishnanagar, Kapilvastu, lost control and overturned on the road. After the accident, a team from the Armed Police Force immediately reached the scene and carried out rescue operations.

A 15-member team led by Armed Police Deputy Superintendent Laxman Baral rescued eight of the nine passengers on board the Hyace and sent them to Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur for treatment, it has been informed. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Baral, Shraddha Agarwal, 27, a resident of Krishnanagar Municipality-2, Kapilvastu, and Nausad Rising Agarwal, 15 months old, were seriously injured in the accident.

According to him, the driver Vishnu Gharti, 24, a resident of Mayadevi Rural Municipality-2, Kapilvastu, Rishabh Agarwal, 26, Riddhisingh Singhania, 25, Sheri Singh, 23, Shivani Agarwal, 27, and Arvind Agarwal, 31, all from Krishnanagar Municipality-2, were injured. A police team from the temporary police post Beldiya was deployed at the scene and took control of the crashed vehicle. Police have stated that further investigation is underway into the cause of the accident.
