Rastriya Swatantra Party Leader Claims Strong Trust Between Chairman Ravi Lamichhane and Prime Minister Balen Shah

Rastriya Swatantra Party leader and Education Minister Samasmit Pokharel has said that there is extremely good trust between Chairman Ravi Lamichhane and senior leader and Prime Minister Balen Shah. Speaking to journalists at the general convention venue in Bharatpur, he said that there is no such thing as a Ravi-Balen faction in the party. 'There is no such thing as a Ravi-Balen faction in our party. Whatever happens, happens through a democratic process,' he said. 'If things were not agreed upon outside, they would not be agreed upon on stage either. We are not staging a drama by agreeing on stage.' He claimed that what happened on stage is also happening outside and both leaders are in favor of ensuring no errors occur in the general convention. 'The Chairman and the Prime Minister are in favor of ensuring no errors occur in the general convention, which is happening for the first time historically,' Pokharel said. 'One thing is clear in our party: there is only one Chairman. Otherwise, we might have made two Chairmen.' He said that there is no doubt that one person will lead as Prime Minister for all five years, and that the Chairman trusts the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister trusts the Chairman. 'The amount of trust between the two is shown by their behavior,' Pokharel said.
