10 Middlemen Arrested in Koteshwor for Harassing Passengers

Kathmandu. Police have arrested 10 middlemen from Koteshwor, Kathmandu. They were arrested on the charge of harassing passengers by pulling them to arrange seats in vehicles going to the east, said SP Naresh Subedi of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Office to Ratopati. The team deployed from the Metropolitan Traffic Police Office, Ramshahpath, arrested them. Those arrested include Suryabahadur Devkota, 40, from Dhanusha, Prakash Siwakoti, 32, Khadkabahadur Tamang, 26, from Dolakha, Haribhajan Thapa, 55, Dilliprasad Lamichhane, 38, from Bhaktapur, Suresh Tamang, 28, from Sindhupalchok, Tilak Kumar Thapa, 27, from Sindhuli, Doorkumar Shrestha, Nandala Budhathoki, 45, from Okhaldhunga, and Rajesh Sapkota, 36, from Sindhupalchok. They are accused of taking commission to board passengers in EV micro and Sumo vehicles going to places like Janakpur and Mahottari from Koteshwor and harassing passengers. SP Subedi said that they have been sent to the District Police Complex Kathmandu for further investigation and action.
