Five Party Chairs to Attend Rastriya Swatantra Party Convention

Kathmandu. After the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21, the chairs of 5 parties are attending the same stage today. The chairs of 5 parties are participating in the inaugural session of the first general convention of the ruling party Rastriya Swatantra Party, which is starting today in Chitwan's Bharatpur.

It has been confirmed that RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, Nepali Congress Chairman Gagan Thapa, Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden, and Janamat Party Chairman Dr. CK Raut will be present at the inaugural session. While it is Lamichhane's party's general convention, the chairs of the other 4 parties are participating to give congratulatory remarks at the RSP general convention. Similarly, JSP Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav will also participate.

Prime Minister Balendra Shah will also be participating in the general convention with them. Prime Minister Shah, who is a senior leader of RSP, is scheduled to inaugurate the general convention by ringing the bell.

RSP, which was established only a few months before the 2079 House of Representatives election, had become the fourth largest party by winning 20 seats in that election. On Falgun 21, RSP made a leap in public opinion and climbed from the fourth largest party to the first party with an easy majority. Old parties considered to have public support were surprised to see the vote share received by RSP in the election.
