Kathmandu Metropolitan City Representatives Depart for Israel Municipal Conference

Kathmandu. Acting Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Sunita Dangol, Spokesperson Nabin Manandhar, and Disaster Management Committee Coordinator Prem Thapa have departed for Israel to participate in the tenth edition of the Municipal Conference to be held in Tel Aviv, Israel.

They departed on a Saturday night flight for the program at the invitation of the Government of Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. More than 150 city mayors, municipal leaders, government officials, urban planners, and experts from around the world will participate in the conference titled 'Successful Partnership (Winning Partnership)'.

The program, which will run for 3 days from Ashadh 9, 10, and 11 (June 23, 24, and 25), will see participation from mayors and representatives from Pokhara Metropolitan City and Janakpur Municipality, along with Kathmandu, from Nepal. They will participate in a comprehensive business tour at the exhibition (expo) that will be held alongside the conference.

The main objective of the conference is to exchange mutual knowledge, skills, and experiences on advanced and innovative urban management technologies, new municipal practices, and good and successful local governance models. For this, thematic conferences and business networking sessions will be conducted.

This program is the main annual program of the Federation of Local Authorities of Israel.
