Rastriya Prajatantra Party Central Convention Set for December 2025

Kathmandu. The central convention of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) will be held in Kathmandu from December 11 to 13, 2083 BS. The Central Working Committee meeting held in Kathmandu on Asar 5 and 6 made this decision. A main organizing committee for the convention has been formed under the chairmanship of party president Rajendra Lingden to successfully complete the convention. This committee will include members of the party's central working performance committee, office bearers, central committee members, and the chairman and members of the advisory committee. Similarly, the heads of various central departments, provincial presidents, all district presidents, members of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly, and the presidents of all sister organizations will also be members of the committee. The party's central working performance committee meeting will also form various sub-committees as needed. According to the party's spokesperson and head of the publicity department, Mohan Kumar Shrestha, various reports presented at the meeting, including the active membership distribution directive submitted by the Central Election Committee, the rules related to the election of organizational levels, and the party's election directive, have been passed with amendments. According to the new schedule set by the party, district conventions must be completed by the end of Bhadra. Only districts that complete their district conventions by the end of Bhadra will be considered eligible to participate in the central convention. Similarly, provincial conventions of all seven provinces will be completed from Asar 15 to Asar 24. The active membership distribution campaign will be conducted as a campaign until the end of Bhadra, and only those who have obtained active membership by that time will be eligible to be voters and candidates for the convention representatives. From November 11 to November 30, all district provincial assembly regional election committees will have to select central convention representatives from among the active members in accordance with the party's constitution. The details of the representatives selected in this manner must be sent to the Central Election Committee and the Party Central Secretariat by December 7. RPP has also made a provision to ensure the mandatory representation of youth among the convention representatives selected from the provincial assembly constituencies. The party concludes that the need and indispensability of the policy, ideology, and principles adopted by RPP in national politics have further increased. Considering the reality that the outcome of one election does not determine the future of any party, RPP has also appealed to all its members, both within the country and abroad, not to be discouraged and to remain active in party work with high morale.
