Leo Club of Butwal Golden Jubilee Hands Over Drinking Water Tap to Jiteshwori Secondary School

Butwal. A drinking water tap constructed in memory of the late Numraj Pokharel, father of Leo Club of Butwal Golden Jubilee founder president Bheshraj Pokharel, has been handed over to Jiteshwori Secondary School. 

The tap was formally inaugurated and handed over on Ashad 19 in a special ceremony organized at the school located in Badelpokhari, Butwal-13.

The tap was constructed for the benefit of the school and the local community on the occasion of the birthday of founder president Pokharel's son Samrat Pokharel. The chief guest of the program was District President of Leo District Council 325 P Nepal Shridhar Basnyal. Tap Construction Committee Coordinator Atmaram Bhandari, Co-coordinator Laxman Khanal, Vishal Khanal, and Area Chief Jeevan Thapa Kshetri stated that this work was done with the aim of expanding access to pure drinking water in the school. Principal of the school Upendra Gyawali expressed gratitude for this socially responsible work of the club, saying, 'Students and the school family will directly benefit from this.' Club President Leo Ashok Kumar Shrestha pledged to continue such social work in the coming days. 

Social workers Kamal Sapkota and Saru Thapa praised this philanthropic work. The program was conducted by Club Membership Chairperson Leo Kabiraj Bhusal.
