Government Forms Committee to Investigate Pathibhara Cable Car Dispute

Kathmandu. The government has formed an investigation committee regarding the dispute that arose in the context of the Kalinchok cable car construction to the famous religious pilgrimage site Pathibhara Temple in Taplejung. 

As per the secretary-level decision of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Ashad 4, a seven-member study and investigation committee has been formed under the leadership of the Prime Minister's social development expert Bishwa Rai. 

According to the source of the Prime Minister's Office, the committee has been given the authority to submit its report within 15 days. 

The committee includes the CDO of the Infrastructure Development Office, a cable car representative, a deputy secretary from the Prime Minister's Office, a representative from the Home Ministry, and also representatives from the locals. Some locals have been protesting in the context of cable car construction in that area.
