Akhil Krantikari Condemns Abuse at Bhaktivedanta Gurukul

Kathmandu. The All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), close to the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), has protested the incident involving children at Bhaktivedanta Gurukul (ISKCON) in Budhanilkantha. On Friday, the organization's chairman, Vijayprakash Sharma Sapkota, issued a statement condemning the incident. The news of sexual abuse, physical and mental torture, and other incidents against children at ISKCON had come out. The organization stated that any form of violence, exploitation, and oppression against children in the guise of religion, culture, and education is a heinous crime against humanity and demanded that all criminals involved in the incident be brought to legal action without any impunity, influence, access, or protection. The organization also strongly demanded that the Nepal government and concerned bodies ensure the immediate rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, and justice for the victimized children.
