Two More Arrested in Passport Printing Irregularity Investigation

Kathmandu. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has arrested two more people for investigating irregularities in passport printing. Those arrested are Munindraraj Malla, Nepal representative of German company Veridos, and Tulsiprasad Acharya, former accounting officer of the Department of Passports.

The Commission has taken a 3-day remand from the Special Court to investigate them. On the evening of Asar 1, the Commission had arrested the Director General of the Department, Tirtharaj Aryal, and the Information Technology Director of the Department, Sunil Kumar KC.

High officials of the Prime Minister's Office said that Aryal was called to the Prime Minister's Office and Council of Ministers and handed over to the Commission after initial questioning.
