Chitwan Areas Submerged Due to Continuous Rainfall

Chitwan. Various places in Chitwan have been submerged due to continuous rainfall. Due to the rain, some places in Chitwan have waterlogged roads, and houses have also been submerged.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Climate Science Division, the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was measured in the Narayani riverine area of Chitwan. Due to the rain, areas around Bharatpur in Chitwan have been submerged. Due to excessive rainfall, the water level of the Narayani River has also increased.

Similarly, after removing the landslide that had obstructed the Muglin-Narayangadh road section due to rain, vehicular movement has resumed in both directions. However, stones are still falling from above the road, posing a risk, the Chitwan Police have stated.
