Iran and New Zealand Draw 2-2 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier

Kathmandu. FIFA World Cup 2026 under Group 'G' match between Iran and New Zealand has ended in a 2-2 draw.

In the match held at Los Angeles Stadium, New Zealand took the lead in the seventh minute through Elijah Just's goal. Just scored from Chris Wood's pass to give his team an early lead.

Iran brought the game to a 1-1 draw in the 32nd minute with Ramin Rezaeian's spectacular flick goal. The first half ended with this result.

New Zealand took the lead again at the start of the second half. In the 54th minute, with another assist from Chris Wood, Elijah Just scored his second personal goal to put the team ahead 2-1.

But Iran made an excellent comeback again. In the 64th minute, Mohammad Mohebbi utilized Ramin Rezaeian's pass to score, bringing the game to a 2-2 draw.

After that, both teams tried for a decisive goal, but neither team succeeded. And the game ended in a draw.
