House of Representatives Meeting Today to Discuss Appropriation Bill

Kathmandu. The meeting of the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament is scheduled to be held today. The discussion on various headings of the Appropriation Bill, 2083 will continue in the meeting at 11 AM.

The agenda for today's meeting includes a consolidated discussion on the budgets of various ministries and bodies. Accordingly, the budgets of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defence, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Secretariat of the National Planning Commission, Office of the President and Vice-President will be discussed today.

In the meeting, various MPs will present proposals to reduce the expenditure of the ministries. Guru Prasad Baral, Ramesh Kumar Mall, Vishnu Maya BK, Ain Bahadur Mahar, Pushpa Raj Kandel and Padma Kumari Aryal have the agenda to present proposals stating that the expenditure amount of the respective ministries be reduced and fixed at one rupee.

Similarly, Mohammad Istiyak Rai will present a proposal to reduce the expenditure of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Parshuram Tamang will present a proposal to reduce the expenditure of the Ministry of Finance.

At the end of the meeting, the Speaker will present a condolence motion on the demise of former member of the House of Representatives Mangal Prasad Gupta.
