Foundation Stone Laid for Shree Janajyoti Secondary School Building in Kalikot with Indian Assistance

Kalikot. The foundation stone has been laid for the new building of Shree Janajyoti Secondary School in Sannitribeni Rural Municipality-4, Kalikot District of Karnali Province. This school building is being constructed with financial assistance of approximately 9 crore 30 lakh Nepali rupees from the Government of India.

This is the first project in Kalikot district under the High Impact Community Development Projects, and its implementation will be carried out through Sannitribeni Rural Municipality. On the occasion of the building's foundation stone laying, the Chairperson of the Rural Municipality and other stakeholders praised the Indian development assistance, expressing confidence that the new infrastructure will greatly help in strengthening the learning environment for students and teachers.

The Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, through a video message, extended best wishes to all stakeholders of the project and reiterated the Indian government's strong commitment to working together with the Government and people of Nepal to achieve shared development and prosperity. Since the commencement of the High Impact Community Development Projects program, India has completed approximately 600 projects covering 74 districts in all 7 provinces of Nepal, of which 18 projects are in Karnali Province.

In addition, India has already provided 56 ambulances and 14 school buses as gifts for the health and education sectors in Karnali Province, of which Kalikot alone has received 4 ambulances and 2 school buses.
