Nepali Congress Active Membership Updated for Over 687,000 Members

Kathmandu. A total of 538,622 people have received NCID within the deadline set for updating the active membership of the Nepali Congress. Besides this, 149,309 people have submitted the update form themselves and are in the process of updating, informed party acting chief secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal. 

The arrangement was made to update the membership until 12 midnight last night. Out of the total 782,209 members eligible for updating active membership of Congress, the total number of those who updated within the stipulated time and participated in the process is 687,931. 

The party has stated that the updating process will be further managed in some districts in the high Himalayan region outside internet access, remote hilly terrain, Bara and Khotang districts, and Nepali Janasamparka Samitis (Nepali Public Relations Committees) abroad affiliated with the Nepali Congress.

The distribution of new active membership will remain open until further notice.
