Communist Party MP Criticizes Border Debate, Demands PM Apology

Kathmandu. The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has stated that it is unfortunate to have to debate the country's borders in the House of Representatives while wearing a logo with Nepal's map on its chest. CPN MP Parmesh Hamal said so by giving special time in the meeting of the House of Representatives. 

 'It is heartbreaking to debate dividedly on the issue of Nepal's borders while wearing Nepal's map on our chest,' Hamal said. He stated that Prime Minister Balendra Shah made objectionable remarks against Nepal's territorial integrity. He sarcastically remarked that no ruling leader in the world would make such a statement regarding borders. 

He said that the Prime Minister should come to the rostrum of the House and apologize, and the words he spoke should be removed from the parliamentary record.
