Rastriya Swatantra Party Koshi Province Elects New Leadership

Biratnagar. 8 people have registered their candidacies for the post of Koshi Province Chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). An election committee has been formed under the convenership of Navraj Pudasaini to conduct the convention. The election committee has stated that 8 people have filed nominations.<

In the convention that started today in Virat Chowk, Morang, Sarin Tamang, Chandra Rai, Chandrakumar Gouli, Pitambar Timsina, Birendra Shrestha, Parasmani Gelal, Khagendra Katuwal and Narayanprasad Ghimire have filed nominations for the post of chairman. According to the election committee, 71 people have filed nominations for the post of provincial committee member.<

According to the constitution, the Koshi Province working committee will have 61 members. After the chairman is selected from the convention, the vice-chairman, general secretary, two joint general secretaries, treasurer and spokesperson will be selected from among the elected members.<

RSP has recently advanced the process of selecting provincial leadership after completing conventions and district assemblies in all 14 districts of Koshi Province. As leadership has been selected through elections in most places at the district level, a competitive election is expected in the provincial convention as well.<

The Koshi Province working committee has provisions for a chairman, vice-chairman, general secretary, two joint general secretaries (different genders), treasurer and spokesperson.<
