Congress Questions Finance Minister Wagle and RSP Chairman Lamichhane on Serious Issues

Kathmandu. The main opposition party Nepali Congress has raised serious questions about Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Ravi Lamichhane.

Speaking during a special time in the House of Representatives meeting, Congress Parliamentary Party leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe questioned why the government is silent about the serious questions raised about Finance Minister Dr. Wagle. In Wednesday's meeting, Angdembe said, 'Yesterday, when questions were raised about the minister, everyone was on fire; today, serious questions have been raised about the Finance Minister. Why is everyone frozen?'

Angdembe also questioned RSP Chairman Lamichhane about why he did not utter the letter 'क' (ka) of 'सिमाना' (simana - border) and 'कालापानी' (Kalapani) when he was in India's capital, Delhi.

Angdembe also expressed objection to Lamichhane's statement that the issue of the border is not something to be discussed by beating a drum, saying, 'Why did you return from Delhi without uttering the 'स' of simana and the 'क' of Kalapani? We also know it's not done by beating a drum. There are some criteria for this.'

He stated that the initiative that should have been taken by the chairman of the ruling party was not taken by Lamichhane.
