CPN-UML Leader Gokul Baskota Expresses Dissatisfaction with Party's Work Division and Style

Kathmandu. UML leader Gokul Baskota has expressed dissatisfaction with the party's work division and style. Expressing his views on social media, Baskota has raised questions regarding the party's internal democracy, decision-making process, and the role of its cadres.

Through a Facebook post, he sarcastically raised the issue, stating that he has no knowledge of subjects like astronomy, physics, chemistry, biology, zoology, as well as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and engineering. Despite not having knowledge in so many fields, looking at UML's recent work division, he has expressed doubt about the role of cadres and lower committees within the party.

Baskota has compared the party's latest work division to a military organization. According to him, looking at UML's structure, the work of thinking and policy-making is not for the cadres, but only to follow orders from above and to fight.

He has questioned how UML will become the country's number one party if there is no freedom to think and use discretion, and only orders are to be followed in a military structure, asking artificial intelligence.

He wrote, 'I don't know astronomy, physics, chemistry, biology, zoology, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, or any branch of engineering. But looking at UML's work division, it seems that thinking is not our job, it is only to follow orders and fight, just like in a military organization. I ask AI - how will UML become number one?'
