Rastriya Swatantra Party Intensifies Local Level Conventions in Lumbini Province

Butwal. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been strengthening its organizational presence in Lumbini Province and intensifying local level conventions. In this process, the party has already completed conventions in 91 local levels in the province. 

According to Gopal Ghimire, a central organization department member of the party, conventions have been completed in the local levels of all 11 districts of Lumbini Province. He informed that the local level conventions have been completed in all districts of the province except Rukum East. Among the conventions completed so far, Rupandehi has 14, West Nawalparasi has 6, Kapilvastu has 10, Dang has 10, Banke has 8, Bardiya has 8, Rolpa has 9, Arghakhanchi has 6, Gulmi has 11, Pyuthan has 5, and Palpa has 4 local levels.

Lumbini Province has a total of 109 local levels. The party has stated that conventions in the remaining few places will also be completed soon. Ghimire said that in some local levels, leadership has been selected unanimously, while in some places, new leadership has been chosen through voting.

Along with the local level conventions, RSP has also intensified preparations for district conventions. According to organization department member Ghimire, district conventions are scheduled to be held in 7 districts of Lumbini Province tomorrow. The districts where conventions will be held tomorrow are Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Rolpa, Palpa, and Gulmi.

Similarly, preparations are being made to hold district conventions in Rupandehi, Arghakhanchi, Pyuthan, and West Nawalparasi the day after tomorrow. In Rukum East, as the local level convention is still pending, the process for district convention will be initiated only after some time, RSP has stated.

RSP Central Women Department member and former minister Kalpana Pandey mentioned that all preparations for the convention have been completed. She informed that immediately after the completion of district conventions, the party will move towards provincial conventions.
