Election Commission Sends Draft Bill to Home Ministry

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has sent the draft bill to amend and consolidate election-related laws to the Home Ministry. The bill has been sent to the government after revising some election-related laws.

Previously, the commission had sent the draft bill to the government on Asar 18, 2080, integrating seven acts, but it had been stuck in the Home Ministry for a long time. 

After the Janji movement and the dissolution of parliament in Bhadra, the Home Ministry sent it back to the commission for suggestions. The draft includes provisions such as voting rights for Nepalis living abroad, electronic voting machines, and no vote.
