Kapilvastu Municipality Announces Summer Holiday for Schools Due to Extreme Heat

Butwal. Kapilvastu Municipality has decided to give summer holidays in schools within the municipal area after the lives of the people were affected by the extreme heat. This decision has been taken as the temperature has been continuously increasing in the Terai region for the past few days, creating a situation where teaching and learning will be disrupted.

According to the notice issued by the Municipal Executive Office, holidays have been announced due to the adverse effects on students' health due to rising temperatures and the difficulty in conducting teaching-learning activities. As per the decision of the municipality, all community and institutional schools operating within the municipal area have been given a three-day summer holiday from Jestha 25 to Jestha 27.

The notice issued by the municipality has also clarified that this holiday will be adjusted from the winter holiday. The municipality has also urged all schools to take necessary health precautions and prioritize the safety of students as the heat has increased significantly, making life difficult.
