Inter-Parliamentary Conference to be Held in Tikapur, Kailali

Kailali. An 'Inter-Parliamentary Conference' is going to be held in Tikapur, Kailali. The conference is scheduled to be held on Jestha 23 and 24, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Forum.

Speaker of the Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly, Bhim Bahadur Bhandari, informed today that office bearers from the House of Representatives, National Assembly, and all seven provincial assemblies will participate. He stated that the conference will discuss and exchange experiences regarding the laws enacted so far by the Federal Parliament and all provincial assemblies, progress made, tasks to be done in the future, and difficulties.

"Especially, political instability and its impact on the federal and provincial assemblies, and the role of the speaker, seem to be becoming more complex," he said. "I feel that we have an added responsibility to discuss more on the context where questions arise even when we remain impartial and independent within the boundaries of law and constitution." According to him, separate panels of speakers, deputy speakers, and secretaries will be formed for group discussions in the conference.
