Communist Party Protests Prime Minister Shah's Border Remarks

Kathmandu. The Nepali Communist Party protested Prime Minister Balendra Shah's statement regarding border disputes in Maitighar, Kathmandu on Thursday. 

Accusing Prime Minister Shah of making anti-national and treasonous remarks, leaders and cadres of various people's organizations of the party took to the streets. 

Protesters gathered at Maitighar Mandala also demanded the Prime Minister's resignation.

During the protest, demonstrators chanted slogans such as 'Prime Minister who made treasonous remarks, resign'. Protesters demanded that the Prime Minister apologize immediately or step down, citing irresponsible statements from the head of government on sensitive issues like national sovereignty and border security. Participants in the protest rally also displayed various placards and banners against the Prime Minister.

Leaders of the Nepali Communist Party stated that it is condemnable that controversial remarks came from the head of government when the country's stance on border disputes should be clear and strong.
