Supreme Court Reserves Verdict on Civil Servants' Union Case

Kathmandu. The case against the dissolution of professional organizations and trade unions of civil servants has been kept 'Heard-in-part' as the debate could not be concluded. The writ filed by Nepal Civil Service Organization President Bhawani Dahal and others was scheduled for hearing in the constitutional bench comprising Chief Justice Dr. Manojkumar Sharma, Justices Dr. Nahakul Subedi, Binod Sharma, Abdul Ajij Musalman, and Mahesh Sharma Paudel. 

Previously, the constitutional bench had issued a short-term interim order in this writ, summoning both parties for discussion. The government had dissolved trade unions in civil services, teaching, and other government organizations through an ordinance. The civil organizations had filed the writ stating that their constitutional rights were being revoked.
