PSG Defeats Arsenal in Champions League Final Penalty Shootout

Kathmandu. UEFA Champions League final match Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Arsenal in penalty shootout winning the title for the second consecutive time.

The final match held on Saturday night ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation and extra time, so the game was decided by penalty shootout, in which PSG won 4-3.

With this victory, PSG has lifted the Champions League title for the second time in their history.

Arsenal took the initial lead in the match. Kai Havertz scored in the fifth minute of the game to give Arsenal the initial lead. However, in the 64th minute of the game, PSG got a penalty opportunity. Ousmane Dembele converted the penalty into a goal, bringing the game to a 1-1 draw. After that, no further goals were scored in regulation and extra time, so the game went to a penalty shootout, where PSG won.

Last season's Champions League win was PSG's first title in the competition's history. With this win, PSG has won this trophy for the second consecutive time. Earlier, they reached the final in 2019 but were defeated 1-0 by Bayern Munich. Last season, they became the second French team to lift this trophy by defeating Inter Milan.
