Bagmati Province Chief Minister Emphasizes Institutionalizing Republic Achievements

Makwanpur. Bagmati Province Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniyan has stated that institutionalizing the achievements of the federal democratic republic and bringing about changes in the daily lives of citizens is the main need of the hour. Addressing a program organized in Hetauda on the occasion of Republic Day, Chief Minister Baniyan said that we must be active in realizing citizens' rights by correcting past mistakes and weaknesses.

According to him, serious self-reflection is needed to address the challenge of protecting federalism in the current political situation. He said that it is necessary to dispel the misconception among the public, especially the youth, that not much has been achieved. He stated that a game is being played to put federalism at risk by taking advantage of the disillusionment caused by the behavior and style of political parties and those who have reached the leadership of the government.

He said that the future direction of Bagmati Province will be people-oriented, income-oriented, poverty-oriented, and development-oriented. He said that development should be advanced by connecting it not only with physical infrastructure construction but also with social transformation, economic empowerment, and human development.

Chief Minister Baniyan said that the government has prioritized education, health, agriculture, tourism, and job creation. He said that the provincial government is determined to implement the concept of inclusive development by focusing on the upliftment of the poor, destitute, laborers, women, and marginalized communities.

'The beauty of democracy lies in dialogue and participation, therefore, we must rise above personal or party interests and focus on the welfare of the nation and the people,' he said.
