Lumbini Province Chief Minister Emphasizes Unity for Republic's Defense

Butwal. Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya has stated that all sides must move forward united for the defense, strengthening, and institutional development of the republic. In a message of goodwill on the occasion of the 19th Republic Day on Friday, Chief Minister Acharya mentioned that the republic is an achievement of the long struggle, sacrifice, and people's movement of the Nepali people, and its protection and effective implementation is the main need of today.

He stated that the republic has made the Nepali people sovereign and has created a basis for an inclusive, proportional, just, and accountable governance system. Chief Minister Acharya paid tribute to all the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the establishment of democracy, republic, and civil rights. He also expressed respect to the political parties, civil society, journalists, intellectuals, youth, women, and all citizens who participated in the movement for change.

He mentioned that the republic has given responsibilities along with rights, and the role of provincial governments is being strengthened to make the federal governance system more effective. In line with the spirit of the constitution, the Lumbini Province government is working with good governance, improved service delivery, and public accountability at its center. His statement said.

Chief Minister Acharya stated that the provincial government has prioritized attracting youth towards self-employment and entrepreneurship, modernization of agriculture, promotion of tourism, infrastructure development, improvement of education quality, and expansion of access to health services. He mentioned that the provincial government is working by prioritizing these areas, as the objective of the republic can be fully realized only through increased production, job creation, equitable distribution, and a transparent governance system. He stated that Republic Day is an opportunity to remember past struggles and express commitment to building a prosperous future.

Chief Minister Acharya has called on everyone to move forward united on the path of justice, equality, inclusivity, and prosperity, emphasizing the need to connect the achievements of the republic with people's lives.
