Weather Forecast: Western and Local Winds Affecting Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, western winds and local winds and a low-pressure area near the eastern parts of Nepal are affecting the country, according to the Weather Forecasting Division. As a result, the mountainous and hilly regions of the country are generally cloudy. The plains are partly cloudy. Moderate rain with thunderstorms is occurring in some places in Koshi Province, and in a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, the country will generally be cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in some places in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in the remaining mountainous and hilly regions, and in one or two places in the plains of Madhesh Province and Koshi and Bagmati provinces. There is also a possibility of dust storms in a few places in the plains and hilly regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, will generally be cloudy. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in a few places in Sudurpaschim, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, as well as in the mountainous and hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Koshi provinces, and in one or two places in the plains of Madhesh Province and Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. There is also a possibility of dust storms in some places in the plains and hilly regions of the country.
