Koshi Province Cabinet Approves Development Projects, Appoints Directors

Biratnagar. The Koshi Province government cabinet meeting was held today on Jestha 14. The meeting has made some important decisions for the development, infrastructure, and management of various development committees of the province.

The cabinet meeting has decided to provide consent to the Province Planning Commission to effectively implement and move forward the listed details of various projects entered into the Project Bank Information System.

Similarly, to further systematize the transfer of irrigation management, it has been decided to send the 'Irrigation Procedure 2083' to the Economic, Social, and Infrastructure Committee for necessary discussion and revision.

Keeping in mind the convenience of the citizens, the cabinet meeting has also decided to open the transportation of old wooden materials from old houses by completing the necessary legal process.

Similarly, the meeting has appointed executive directors in two important religious and tourist area development committees of the province.

Chakrabahadur Rai, a resident of Ward No. 7 of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality in Khotang, has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Halesi Mahadev Area Development Committee, and a decision has also been made to appoint Abijal Bisht, a resident of Ward No. 1 of Barahakshetra Municipality in Sunsari, as the Executive Director of the Greater Barahakshetra Development Committee.
