Weather Forecast: Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Several Regions

Kathmandu. Currently, Nepal is under the influence of westerly winds and local winds and a low-pressure area near the eastern parts of Nepal, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated.

Due to this influence, it is currently generally cloudy in Gandaki Province and the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, while the plains of the remaining parts are mainly clear. Moderate rain with thunderstorms is occurring in many places in Gandaki Province and some places in Koshi and Bagmati Provinces.

This afternoon, it will be generally cloudy in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as in the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, while there will be partial cloudiness in the plains of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

Moderate rain with thunderstorms is possible in some places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, in some places in the plains of Madhesh Province and Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, and in a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces. Also, there is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms in one or two places in the plains of Lumbini Province. There is a possibility of hot days in the plains of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces. There is a possibility of windstorms in a few places in the plains of Madhesh Province and Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.

Tonight, moderate rain is possible in some places in Koshi and Madhesh Provinces, and in a few places in Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces. Light rain with thunderstorms is possible in one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini and Karnali Provinces and the mountainous regions of Sudurpaschim Province, the Division stated.
