Speaker Aryal Defends Balen Shah-Led Government

Kathmandu. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has defended the government led by Balen Shah. In a meeting with a delegation from the Nepal Journalists Association, Speaker Aryal expressed confidence that the government would fulfill the public's desire for political stability, good governance, and prosperity in the country.

Stating that work must be done according to the feelings and aspirations of the Nepali people, Speaker Aryal said that past experience shows that stability does not come solely from a majority of numbers, and he expects the government to move forward with concrete plans this time.

'We have direct proof that a two-thirds majority government does not automatically guarantee stability,' Speaker Aryal said, 'but this time, the plans and programs that the government brings will determine real stability.' He stated that if the plans determined by the government proceed correctly, the country will take the right direction. 

Speaker Aryal said that the goals set by the government of prosperity, good governance, and ending corruption should be viewed positively by everyone. 'What we all expect is that this government at least creates a kind of stability in the country, establishes good governance, and ends corruption,' Aryal said, 'The government's focus should now be on the country's development and service to the citizens.'

He said that the entire country should be active on serious and nationally important issues such as constitutional amendment. Aryal stated that moving forward on the basis of national consensus would further strengthen the government and provide long-term stability to the country. 

He also advised the government to work in a systematic and planned manner to make its future journey successful and to clear the confusion among the citizens.
