Bagmati Province Government Forms 43-Member Committee for Republic Day Celebration

Hetauda. The Bagmati Province Government has formed a committee to celebrate Republic Day. 

A 43-member committee has been formed under the coordination of Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniyan to celebrate Republic Day on Jestha 15th with various creative programs.

The meeting held on Jestha 11th under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Baniyan also decided to celebrate Republic Day for 4 days with various programs. 

To make Republic Day organized in the province, the 43-member main ceremony committee under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Baniyan includes the Speaker of the Provincial Assembly, ministers, leader of the opposition party, deputy speaker, chief attorney, officials of various commissions, heads of security agencies, and representatives of various organizations. 

The responsibility of the member secretary of the committee has been given to the secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.

The meeting decided to organize various programs across the province from Jestha 13th to 16th to celebrate Republic Day. 

Including this, on Jestha 13th, a school-level essay competition on the topic '18 Years of Republic Establishment: Implementation and Challenges' will be organized, while on Jestha 14th, public blood donation, free health camp, tree plantation, and lighting of lamps in the evening will be held.

  On Jestha 15th, cleaning in Hetauda city area in the morning, a 5000-meter open race competition, and the main ceremony will be organized at the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers' office. Cultural tableaux reflecting local culture will be displayed at the ceremony, and 4 outstanding journalists will be awarded 50,000 rupees each.

The meeting decided to call for lighting lamps in all government offices, public places, and homes of the general public in the province for three days, Jestha 14th, 15th, and 16th, on the occasion of Republic Day.

  On the occasion of Republic Day, the provincial government has also made arrangements to hoist the national flag at Buddha Chowk and Buspark in Hetauda. Also, all ministries and subordinate offices have been instructed to put the Republic Day message on the homepage of their respective websites.
