Chhinalata Music Trust Honors Senior Singer Madan Krishna Shrestha

Kathmandu. The Chhinalata Music Award Trust has decided to honor senior singer Madan Krishna Shrestha with a special award. The trust's general assembly, chaired by its chairman Prof. Dr. Basudev Tripathi, made this decision.

The meeting also announced this year's awards for song, music, and singing. According to the trust's secretary Dinesh Adhikari, the award for lyric writing has been decided to be given to Dr. Navraj Lamsal, for music composition to Kiran Kandel, and for singing to Bimla Rai.

The trust has decided to present this year's Popular Youth Talent Award to Sarika Ghimire. Ghimire is being presented with this award for the composition, music, and singing of the song with the lyrics 'Gun Bhulyau, Pittal Ko Sun Payau Hola...'.

The awards and honors will be presented on the birthday of the trust's founder and lyricist late Ramoladevi Shah 'Chhinalata', which falls on the upcoming Shrawan 9th, Harishayani Ekadashi, the trust informed.
