Rastriya Swatantra Party Intensifies Preparations for First National Convention, Releases Detailed Schedule

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has intensified preparations for its first national convention and released a detailed work schedule. 

The timeline for organizational and election-related processes necessary for the convention has been set according to the decision of the party's Central Election Commission on Jestha 6.

According to the circular issued by Ram Gurung, Deputy Chief of the Central Election Commission, priority has been given to forming election committees in all 77 districts and seven provinces.

Accordingly, provincial and district committees must form election committees by Jestha 15, and a copy of the official circular and minutes must be submitted to the election office by Jestha 10.

According to the work schedule, reports from local and district conventions will be collected by Jestha 20, and the deadline for submitting the list of convention representatives has been set for Jestha 25. Similarly, district presidents must submit district convention and election reports by the end of Jestha.

With the aim of making the convention modern and technology-friendly, RSP is also preparing to use electronic voting machines. The schedule mentions that discussions related to this and the submission of details of elected officials in provincial conventions will be completed by Ashar 5.

The Election Commission has directed all provincial presidents to coordinate with their subordinate district presidents and complete the tasks within the stipulated time according to the center's work schedule.

The party has intensified internal mobilization, informing General Secretaries Kavindra Burlakoti and Bhupadev Shah, as well as Shankar Shrestha, Secretary of the Organization Department, to systematically prepare for this historic convention.
