Suicide Bomb Attack Targets Passenger Train in Quetta, Pakistan

Islamabad. An attack was carried out targeting a passenger train near Chaman Gate in Pakistan's Balochistan province, Quetta. According to reports, at least 23 people died on the spot and 53 were seriously injured in a suicide bomb attack targeting a passenger train packed with passengers that was running near the gate. 

According to media reports, security forces have cordoned off the area. Those injured in the explosion have been taken to a nearby hospital, where many are said to be in serious condition.

Initial investigation of this fatal suicide attack has revealed that it was a well-planned attack. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
